The anthology explores the modern architecture of the immediate post-war period in Berlin’s City West, whose cityscape was significantly influenced by the collaboration between the architects Hans Schoszberger and Paul Schwebes. The architectural and cultural concepts of modernism, which marked a cultural turning point in direct connection with the future euphoria of the post-war period, form hereby the framework for the analyses. The 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in May 2025 provides the topicality of the publication.
